My Background

I'm a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Regina and a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapies from the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies.

I was drawn to massage therapy because it was a natural fit alongside my kinesiology degree and strength coaching work — I wanted to understand the body completely, from how it performs to how it breaks down and recovers. That combination has shaped everything about how I work with patients today.

After more than 15 years of full-time clinical practice, I still approach every patient the same way: find the real source of the problem first, then build the treatment around that.

My Approach

Most people living with ongoing pain have already tried something — and it either didn't work or didn't last. That's usually because the symptom was treated without addressing what's actually driving it.

Every treatment I do starts with a detailed clinical assessment. I want to understand how you move, where the restriction is coming from, and what's going to give you the most meaningful and lasting result. Then I draw on whichever combination of techniques is going to do that most effectively.

The techniques I use most include Soft Tissue Release, RAPID Neurofascial Reset, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Sports Massage. Where appropriate I'll also incorporate exercise therapy, movement guidance, and lifestyle recommendations — because what happens between treatments matters as much as what happens on the table.

Sports & Athletic Background

Sport has been at the centre of my career from the beginning. In 2012 I served as Head Trainer for Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge — one of the highlights of my career and an experience that sharpened my ability to assess and treat under real competitive pressure.

For roughly 10 years I volunteered with the Weyburn Red Wings Junior A Hockey Club, working with players through the grind of a full season. I've also spent every summer since opening the clinic in 2011 volunteering with the Weyburn Beavers baseball club — working particularly closely with their pitchers on arm care, recovery, and injury prevention.

As a strength coach I've worked at the college level and with athletes from the professional ranks all the way down to grassroots sport. I currently serve as a Strength & Conditioning Consultant with the Saskatchewan Sports Medicine and Science Council, and for five years I was head coach of the Weyburn Wrestling Club.

If you're an athlete — at any level — I understand your body, your sport, and what it takes to get you back competing.

Conditions I Treat

Everyday Pain & Work-Related Injuries

If you're dealing with the physical toll of a desk job, a demanding trade, or just the wear and tear of daily life — back pain, neck tension, headaches, jaw pain, and stiffness are some of the most common reasons patients come in. You don't have to just live with it.

Sports & Athletic Injuries

From strains and sprains to overuse injuries, rotator cuff problems, and mobility limitations affecting your training or performance — I understand how athletes are built and what it takes to get them back competing. Whether you're a professional, a junior player, or a weekend warrior, sport-specific treatment matters.

Complex & Persistent Problems

If you've tried other treatments without lasting results, you're not out of options. Conditions like sciatica, frozen shoulder, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, migraines, and recurring injuries often have a root cause that hasn't been properly identified yet. That's exactly where a detailed clinical assessment makes the difference.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, life mostly means keeping up with three kids — which, as any parent knows, is a full-time job on its own. When I get the chance I'm happiest outside — camping, rucking, and firing up the smoker. I'm also slowly working my way through learning guitar. I'm also a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Still hopeful. Still watching.
